Implanting the KAMRA Inlay

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Restoring everyday near vision

Only a small group of the world's best refractive eye surgeons are certified to implant the KAMRA™ inlay. This ensures consistent results for any patient anywhere in the world. On the day of your outpatient appointment, you'll receive your inlay in as little as 15 to 20 minutes. To implant the KAMRA inlay, your eye surgeon will either create a tiny opening or flap on the surface of your cornea and implant the inlay.

If you are also having a LASIK procedure, your surgeon will first use a laser to reshape your cornea and then implant the KAMRA inlay under your LASIK flap. It's safe and effective, and you won't have any stitches or bandages.

To take a glimpse inside the implant process, please review one of the following informative animations [linked on the right]:

  • Receiving LASIK surgery and the KAMRA inlay in combination.
  • Receiving the KAMRA inlay inside a pocket.
  • Receiving the KAMRA inlay under a LASIK flap.

Your surgeon will select the best option for your eyes and your visual needs.

CAUTION The KAMRA™ Inlay is an investigational device, limited by federal (U.S.) law to investigational use and not available for sale in the United States.
